Features

Modest Beginnings

Admire Your Creation
Zoom in to connect with your lively little community, watch villagers and see animals living peacefully on the island.

Calming Music

No Dangers, No Pressure
No enemies, no timers, no rush. Just a peaceful space to build your island at your own pace.

Gentle Resource Management
Each building has a cost, so you will need to keep an eye on your resources. But there is always enough flowing in to keep your island growing steadily.

A world to treasure

Every island becomes its own little story, shaped by the buildings you place and the cosy moments you create along the way.

Why Tiny Terra Spaces? Why Now?

I’ve always wanted to create a city builder, but as a solo developer, I knew I couldn’t commit to the long development cycle such a project would require. Instead, I set my sights on something more achievable – a cosy builder.

Tiny Terra Spaces taps into the growing demand for stress-free, wholesome experiences. Its design is intentionally modular, making it easy to expand with future content and updates. It’s a project that feels both meaningful and manageable – the right fit, at the right time.

About me and my studio Ludus Pax

Tiny Terra Spaces is my third commercial title, following Path to Serenity and Rise of the Village Hero. It’s a cosy, creative experience inspired by the rich history and natural beauty of Scotland’s islands — the country I proudly call home.

Special thanks

While Tiny Terra Spaces has predominantly been a solo endeavour, I have been incredibly fortunate to receive support from several talented individuals throughout development, especially during the final polishing stages of the project.

A special thanks goes to the talented artist and VFX wizard Penny, who contributed assets such as workshops, the landmark well, and the original first version of the Steam capsule artwork.

Calin has assisted the project in a voluntary capacity as a 2D artist, creating a wide range of beautiful visual improvements for the game. His work includes the updated Steam capsule artwork, Hop Mode background illustrations, artwork for the interactive building panels, improved UI elements, and new main menu background art. You can find Calin’s portfolio here.

Will has assisted with QA and optimisation, helping ensure that buildings and assets remained performant and efficient within the game. He has also contributed towards the creation of additional 3D props and industry-specific buildings featured throughout Hop Mode. You can find his portfolio here.

Callum has also contributed as a volunteer 2D artist, creating a large number of building icons for the UI. This has been a monumental task due to the scale and variety of buildings featured in the game. Each icon was designed to clearly represent the building’s purpose and improve readability for players. You can find his portfolio here.

A very special thanks also goes to my wife, Amelea.

Before anyone else joined the project, she helped contribute towards a number of the game’s early UI resource icons and building Icon artwork. However, beyond the art itself, her emotional support throughout development meant even more.

During moments where the project felt uncertain and progress with grants, funding, and Kickstarter campaigns was difficult, she continued to encourage and support me to keep moving forward with Tiny Terra Spaces.

This project would not have reached this stage without her support, patience, and belief in both myself and the game.

A few studio highlights

  • I graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Games Development, earning two court medals in my final years.
  • My work was showcased at the Osaka Expo, a major milestone for the studio.
  • I have shipped two games Rise of the Village Hero & Path to Serenity.
