Tiny Terra Spaces 0.1f released
Hey everyone,
I’m excited to share Update 0.1f — a big milestone for Tiny Terra Spaces!
Church from Kilmory, Arran
The original Church of the Virgin Mary at Kilmory, Arran, is believed to have been built around 1357. The present church, built in 1785 and still standing today, is thought to rest on its foundations. For the game, I’ve used the 1785 Kilmory Church as inspiration while blending in elements of what the earlier medieval church may have looked like.
Saving System
A full saving system has now been implemented. In past projects I added this too late, so this time I’ve put it in early to allow steady improvements as development continues. You can now save progress on Start Fresh Mode or any of the sandbox islands.
Longhouse & New Well
The old “Crofthouse” has been renamed to Longhouse for better historical accuracy, and a new Well created by my freelance artist Penny has been added. There is a small placement bug with the Well, but I’ll be patching this tomorrow.
New Islands
I’ve also added two new islands based on the shapes of the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Arran. These currently don’t allow tile expansion, but I’ll continue to add more islands and expand their flora, fauna, and detail in future updates.
UI Enhancements
The UI has had a major overhaul, with a new main menu, pause menu, and construction interface. A new categories tab has been added to allow a wider range of building types.
NPCs & Interactions
NPCs have also been introduced to the world. At present, they mainly sit outside their Longhouses, but more behaviour will follow. Buildings now feature interactive pop-ups with descriptions, which can be closed with a button, outside click, or right-click. In future, I plan to replace the static images in these pop-ups with short video clips showing the interiors of each building to enhance immersion. At the moment, some pop-ups appear too frequently or share content across multiple buildings, but this will be improved over time.
Thank you so much for your support! If you’re enjoying Tiny Terra Spaces, please consider purchasing it or supporting the Kickstarter—it truly makes a difference.
