Rusty Hammer Early Alpha 0.1: Casual Idle Clicker Game Launches on Itch.io

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce that Rusty Hammer early alpha 0.1 is now available for download for windows or playable WebGL on Itch.io! Rusty Hammer is a casual idler game where you take over a blacksmith shop and try and improve it. Rusty Hammer is from the same universe as my other game Rise of the Village Hero. Ricker gets introduced to players as a tutorial NPC in the first level/area called Warlington. Ricker years ago decided to buy a dilapidated inn and to turn it around into an amazing blacksmith shop. Which he did eventually and this is his journey.

On the Dreams in Development page, I shared my vision and the journey of creating this game from the prototype stage, and now, here it is. Since Rusty Hammer is now a reality, I’ll be removing it from the Dreams in Development page.

With Rusty Hammer, I want to take a different approach from my previous games, Rise of the Village Hero and Path to Serenity. This time, I want to bring the gaming community along with me on this journey. I hope to build a small community around the game and, from there, keep improving it before eventually creating the Steam page. My hope is that by doing this, the game will gather a decent following, setting it up for success.

Right now, Rusty Hammer includes three tiers of upgrades—these may be tweaked, but for now, they’re set as they are. I’ll be actively seeking feedback and will continue to implement improvements as I go along.

More upgrades and additional tiers are on the way, but for now, please check out the cinematic trailer I created for the game!
