Celebrating Tiny Terra Spaces’ progress

Published by Silviu on

Hey all!

I want to start by expressing my gratitude to everyone who has downloaded, tried out, and played the demo. It’s wonderful to see that over 600 people have played it so far.

I am proud to announce that Tiny Terra Spaces has now reached over 150 wishlists. While this figure may seem modest compared to some other titles, it is a significant milestone for me personally and one that I take great pride in. Since May last year, when Tiny Terra Spaces was first created during the Gamedev.TV game jam, I have dedicated myself to developing this project. From crafting assets using Blender3D—despite 3D asset creation not being my strongest skill—to writing the game’s code, the journey has been both challenging and rewarding. Although I have no prior experience in developing city-builders or strategy games, I am always eager to tackle new challenges. Considering this, I am genuinely proud of what I have achieved with my game.

While city builders would have posed an even greater challenge, I opted for the cosy genre, which I am passionate about. This choice has made the development process more accessible for me as a solo indie developer, allowing me to channel my enthusiasm into the project.

Looking Forward: Plans for growth

I hope that Tiny Terra Spaces will continue to grow, and with your support, I believe it can. If you have not yet tried the demo, it is available for free on Steam and will likely remain there. In the coming months, my plan is to reach out to content creators and members of the press in order to secure greater coverage for the game as development progresses and improvements are made.

As a solo developer and a new second-time father, balancing my family responsibilities alongside my work on Tiny Terra Spaces is a priority. Nevertheless, my passion for this project motivates me, and I am confident I can rise to the challenge.

I have also applied for grants and funding. If successful, I hope to hire a 3D artist to help finesse and improve some of the 3D models I created. I will also attend a number of events and conventions in my area such as Glasgow Games Expo and Move Summit in Edinburgh, and try and showcase the demo and I am hopeful the community will grow.

Staying connected

I will continue to provide updates here as often as possible, though time may be limited. I will do my best to keep you informed of any new developments and devlog updates. If you would like to stay up to date, please follow my socials links are on the side of the game’s Steam page- your support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for playing the demo -if you have not please consider doing so – and for joining me on the journey of Tiny Terra Spaces. I look forward to sharing more updates with you soon.
